Ayatollah Khamenei:
Imam Hadi went to the court of Abbasid caliph Al-Mutawakkil with the view of a fighter man and turned his wine party to a spiritual meeting. It means that he overpowered the caliph in a way that at the end of his speech, Al-Mutawakkil brought him perfumes and saw him off with respect.
In a battle which is started by a hot tempered and powerful caliph, Imam Hadi opts a psychological war; one in which javelin and sword have no place.
