It is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said:
“Then Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) will descend, and their leader (lmam Mahdi) will day to Jesus: ‘Come and lead us in prayer’ (I.e., be our imam); Jesus will reply: ‘No, some of you are leaders over others, for Allah has honored this nation (the nation of the Seal of prophets).”
